KITTEN CARE
It's a great deal of fun and games when a new kitten arrives in the household. It is vitally important that your new addition to the family is brought in for a health check and to receive the essential vaccinations to protect them against viruses such as Feline flu, Feline enteritis, Chlamydia and Feline Leukaemia, which otherwise can often be lethal or leave serious repercussions.
Kittens seen at BVH receive the following FREE items at their 1st visit:
- Advocate (one dose)
- Pet Insurance (6 weeks accident cover)
- Dermcare Natural Shampoo
- Hill’s Special Kitten Starter Pack including a free sample of kitten food

Advocate in a monthly topspot (applied between the shoulder blades), it kills fleas and their larvae, prevents heartworm, control hookworm & roundworm (not tapeworm) and earmites. It can be used from 9 weeks of age.
Frontline Plus is a monthly topspot (applied between the shoulder blades), it kills fleas and their larvae. It does not have a claim against paralysis ticks, but it is the product we recommended for outside cats in paralysis tick areas. It can be used from 8 weeks of age.
Desexing:
We will send you a letter when it is time for desexing. We highly recommend desexing (spey or castrate), due to medical and behavioural benefits.
Annual Vaccination:
At 15mths of age, your cat will be due for its annual vaccination. We will send you a reminder in the mail. We recommend a Five in one vaccine for maximum protection.
